VEMS is always looking for paramedics who are committed to progressive clinical care and who understand that our patients come first. VEMS field clinicians drive the development of clinical protocols and are involved in decisions regarding VEMS equipment and interventions. The performance of all clinicians is reviewed on a quarterly basis. Field personnel are eligible for quarterly bonuses based upon their own performance and the performance of the other members of the VEMS team. At VEMS all staff members are “in it” together.
Obtaining a position with VEMS, though, can be very competitive as we receive inquiries from many talented applicants. All VEMS candidates go through a thorough interview process and reference checks. If they advance through that progression, candidates must pass through the medical control interview and testing process at Griffin Hospital.
