As Executive Director, Jason works with the Board of Directors and VEMS field staff to implement VEMS' mission and strategy. He oversees administration and manages VEMS’ relationships with the municipalities it serves.

Prior to serving as Executive Director, he served as the Treasurer of VEMS for seven years.  His previous EMS experience includes leading a significant and successful change initiative as Chief of Echo Hose Ambulance in Shelton.  Jason is also a State Representative serving the residents of Shelton at the State Capitol in Hartford.

Jason is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelors Degree from Georgetown University.  He also holds an MBA which he received from Boston College and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. 

Jennifer Lyon, Paramedic, Operations Supervisor

As Supervisor, Jen works with all VEMS staff to ensure effective and efficient operations. She oversees scheduling, human resources, occupational health and equipment/supplies.

Prior to serving with VEMS, Jen served as a paramedic throughout the Northeast, most recently with Campion Ambulance. She also has extensive experience managing hyperbaric medical facilities in New York and Massachusetts. 

As Supervisor, Jeff works with all VEMS staff to ensure effective and efficient operations. He oversees billing and documentation, quality assurance, vehicle maintenance and serves as a liaison for paramedic students.
