Our field paramedics are some of the most talented and experienced paramedics in the State of Connecticut. We are very proud of the work they do.
![]() Jeffrey Adams Part-Time Paramedic Jeff is a longtime VEMS medic who is back to continue working part-time in the Valley. He also works as a medic with Norwalk Hospital. ![]() Mathhew Cohen Part-Time Paramedic Matt is a full-time firefighter in Westport and has been a medic for ten years. He will be working part-time with VEMS. ![]() John Cronin Part-Time Paramedic John is a long-time VEMS medic and started as a volunteer driver in the 80’s. He is a Lieutenant in the Fairfield Fire Department. ![]() Jeffrey Doyle Part-Time Paramedic Jeff has been active in the Valley for years as a volunteer with Echo Hose Ambulance and Storms. He comes to VEMS from AMR of Bridgeport. ![]() Robin Fisher Part-Time Paramedic Robin has been with VEMS for two years and in EMS for ten. She is a volunteer firefighter. She works full-time as an engineer. ![]() John Fleming Full-Time Paramedic Jon comes to VEMS from Campion Ambulance. He will be working full-time and has many years of experience in EMS. ![]() Tyler Grailich Full-Time Paramedic Tyler comes to VEMS from AMR’s Bridgeport division. He began his career as a volunteer in the Valley and is back as a full-timer with VEMS. ![]() Mchael Granoth Paramedic Michael comes to VEMS from AMR Waterbury. He is also a volunteer firefighter with the Watertown Fire Department. ![]() Stephen Hebb Part-Time Paramedic Steve has been a medic since 1992. He is a career firefighter with the Naugatuck Fire Department and works as a medic with AMR Waterbury. ![]() Francis Jones Part-Time Paramedic Fran is a former VEMS medic. He works full-time as a firefighter/medic in East Hartford and is very active in the Shelton FD. ![]() David Kingsbury, RN Part-Time Paramedic David was a VEMS medic many years ago and is back to serve again. He works full-time as an RN at Milford Hospital. ![]() Ann Lahaza Full-Time Paramedic Everyone knows Annie as a longtime VEMS medic. She has been with VEMS since the beginning and started as a volunteer medic. ![]() Gordon MacCalla Part-Time Paramedic Gordon has been with VEMS for a number of years. He works as a medic AMR and is staying on-board with VEMS as a part-timer. ![]() Dawn Macharelli Full-Time Paramedic Dawn is returning to VEMS after many years away. She began her career in the Valley and, in fact, designed the VEMS patch. ![]() Scott Martus Part-Time Paramedic Scott is a medic with AMR of New Haven and works full-time as a North Haven firefighter. He also is an EMSI with New Haven Sponsor Hospital. ![]() Jeffrey McGovern Part-Time Paramedic Jeff works full-time as a paramedic with AMR’s New Haven division and is a paramedic instructor with New Haven Sponsor Hospital. ![]() Will Pendleton Part-Time Paramedic Will is an experienced paramedic and is the training coordinator at Greenwich EMS. He has been an EMSI for many years and also works as a medic in Westchester County. ![]() Justin Romanello Part-Time Paramedic Justin comes to VEMS from AMR Bridgeport where he will stay on as a medic as well. He also serves as a medic with Stamford and Stratford and serves on the Stamford Juvenile Review Board. Anthony Terzo Full-Time Paramedic Anthony has spent 15 years with AMR in many divisions. He is returning to VEMS full-time and brings years of supervisory experience. Karl Weber, RNPart-Time Paramedic Karl is known to many EMTs throughout the Valley. A long-time VEMS medic, he’s now back. He also works as an RN at Milford Hospital.

A Valley native has been named the new executive director of the region’s paramedic service. Robert A. Pettinella’s appointment was announced Thursday during a meeting of Valley Emergency Medical Services (VEMS). Pettinella, who lives in Oxford, replaces Jason Perillo. |
